Highlight Reel (February 2019 Favorites)

I thought it would be fun if I took a moment each month to let you know what things are currently striking my fancy, so here goes the February installment!

CURRENT FAVORITES:

BOOKS:

This month, I read:

QUOTE:

“Sometimes the best decision you can make is simply to make a decision.” —Chrystal Evans Hurst, She’s Still There.

I’m notoriously bad at making decisions. I like to make the right choice, so I agonize over my options, afraid I don’t have all the information or that I’ll make the wrong choice. But sometimes I just need to make the best decision I can with the information I have and call it a day so I can have peace and keep moving forward.

MOVIES/TV SHOWS:

I watched the most recent (and last?) season of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix, which I’m convinced everyone finds hilarious.

I also watched the most recent season of One Day at a Time, which I love for the Cuban flair, the Spanish influence, and the way they handle family and cultural issues so well.

I also watched Titanic and Hercules, after realizing it’s been far too long since I watched them.

PRODUCT:

I’m really appreciating my portable battery charger because I’m the person who doesn’t like charging her phone overnight or plugging it in until it’s at 20% or less to preserve the long-term battery life. But sometimes finding and outlet and plugging my phone in and leaving it in one spot long enough to fully charge isn’t doable, so having a portable option has been so great! (This is the one I have.)

FOOD:

I made some delicious banana nut muffins, carrot apple muffins, and peanut butter energy bites for my family’s trip to Walt Disney World, and they were all amazing!

I also made some delicious Brussels sprouts tacos, but I ended up skipping the shells and just eating the filling in bowls. I couldn’t get enough!

MEMORIES FROM FEBRUARY:

My family’s trip to Walt Disney World was definitely the highlight of the month! We had such a blast going on rides, seeing shows, and enjoying the warm weather!

LOOKING FORWARD TO IN MARCH:

I’m traveling to visit my fiance’s brother and sister-in-law and their kids, which will be fun! I’m also enjoying a girls’ pampering night with some close friends and some time at home after being away for a while.
